Things I am thankful for this week...

"Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders You have done for us."

1. Watching my kiddos play, and playing with them...even if it is in the rain
2. Watching this little girl ride her bike. She could ride it for hours.

3. Watching flowers grow and bloom. My kids love it even more.

4. watching big brother try to show his little sister
how to hula hoop.

5. Getting a little bit of help in the yard.

6. A baby girl, who is very active and loves to climb.
And, who has now learned to take off her clothes.
She keeps me on my toes.

Did I mention she is always determined to go vertical and climb whatever she can?

7. Going bowling with the family
Dakota has asked if we could go bowling again...

only about 25 times since we came home.

This was Caitlyn's face after she got a spare:

A classic quote from Cassidy about the lovely bowling shoes:

"Mom, do we get to keep these shoes!!!?!"

Thankfully, no.

This made me laugh. Greg quickly gathered all of the shoes to take back. We sure have a pile here...and, I did not envy his job.

8. Flowers from my girls

I usually get several throughout the day if we are home.

"Your circumstances do not have to define how you feel. You have a choice every moment of every day. You can always choose joy despite a terrible nights sleep, a headache, a screaming toddler, or a husband getting home much later than your expectations. Expectations. Something we have come to live for. And, when we choose to live in them, we will only be let down. We can choose the fear of man, or we can choose JOY in knowing our Savior in every circumstance. For it is He alone who knows what we need every second of every day. And, if we need to learn a bit more patience, He may just provide us a screaming toddler for the day.Within Him, and Him alone, we have the power to choose JOY,
even when it feels like we are running on empty."
